Carl the Potter, Visiting Artist at Old Faithful Inn and Old Faithful Lodge Each Month during Summer 2008

Carl Sheehan will be guest artist at Old Faithful Inn and Lodge in Yellowstone National Park each of four months during the summer of 2008. Please stop by and visit with him on any of these dates:

June 10–13

July 8–11

Aug 5–8

September 2–5

Also, his pottery will again be available at four gift shops in Yellowstone National Park throughout the summer; at Mammoth Hotel, Lake Hotel, Old Faithful Inn and Old Faithful Lodge.

Carl Sheehan is a studio potter in Bozeman, a 1977 graduate of Montana State University. He was the resident artist at Old Faithful Lodge for 27 years where he maintained a gas kiln and open studio in the Lodge. He is presently focusing his energies on producing his signature stoneware at his studio west of Bozeman, teaching and helping to develop the new pottery facility at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture.

Carl creates stoneware pottery for use in the home and kitchen. Each piece is individually glazed utilizing a palette of colors inspired by his love for the Rocky Mountain west and Yellowstone National Park. He also enjoys taking his time to create one-of-a-kind items which feature Bison and other wildlife imagery. His gas-fired stoneware pottery is food-safe, dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe.

He encourages visits by appointment to his home studio near Bozeman, Montana. His work is available at a variety of locations in Montana. Please visit our sales page for a complete list.
